I heard once that if you have neke ferns growing in your lot, you will have a bountiful loi (because if the neke could grow there, its a good place for kalo). Being drawn to learning everything I can about kalo, the neke fern sparked my interest.
The neke fern is usually found in wet marshy areas, like Kawainui Marsh. Despite being found in wet areas, this fern also can thrive in full sun as long as it gets a lot of water. Their fronds can be used in lei too!
