Giving Back Program

Growing up in Hawaii, I always had that sense of community. One thing my parents instilled in me was the idea of giving back. When The Keiki Dept. first started in 2016, we wanted to support our community in any way we could, from donating to different auctions that supported members of our community to organizations that provide services to both keiki and ʻohana across the islands.
In 2025, The Keiki Dept. will continue to donate 1% of our sales from our online orders. As a company that focuses on all things keiki, we are focusing our efforts to support Ulu Aʻe. We feel that our mission aligns with theirs in our shared commitment to nurturing keiki through cultural connection and place-based learning:
To empower and enrich lives through programs that develop skills, build confidence and promote healthy relationships based on the values and customs of our kūpuna.
Ulu Aʻe delivers culture and place-based education for keiki and families of Honouliuli, creating entire communities that are knowledgeable and engaged in the place they live. Through student programs, cultural community events, and volunteer workdays, they're growing rooted and engaged communities—something that resonates deeply with our belief in connecting keiki to their ʻāina and heritage.
This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization shares our passion for empowering the next generation through authentic cultural education, helping keiki develop not just knowledge, but confidence and strong community connections rooted in Hawaiian values.
