Red Paisley Palapalai Bamboo Kaliko Dress
Palapalai is a fern with soft, lacy fronds that grows in the shady forests of Hawaiʻi. It's sacred to Laka, the goddess of hula, and hālau still wear it as lei on the head, wrists and ankles.
The paisley is the style of the design. It's the teardrop shape with the curved, feathered tip you've seen on fabrics for generations. Here the palapalai is drawn in that style, in red for the holidays.
The Kaliko dress is easy enough for everyday and red enough for holiday photos. Match it with the red or green Kalei polo for siblings.

Beautiful print, super soft and comfortable material. I love this piece! The only thing I'd point out is that sizing seems to run a bit on the smaller size. I would definitely size up if your child on the tallet size and isn't generally tiny. My daughter is 6, slightly taller than her age group, and "broadly" shaped...size 8 fits perfect with no room to grow in to.
